NI9HTHAWK this album definitely gets better as it delves deeper. Maedhros is a cruncher! Favorite track: Maedhros.

bmurator One man Epic Black Metal project from the UK. This guy really knows how to write songs that are both catchy & fantastic musically. His voice is unique and, with a few clean singing parts as well, extremely interesting. If you like intelligent epic black metal, look no further! No favourite track, they are all near perfect! Highly recommended!

mr_modern_music This' just like a much improved "Lord of the Rings" soundtrack. Favorite track: Amrod.

Dagoth Just a quick reminder that the kinslaying was justified. Favorite track: Maedhros.
Люц

Люц I like the concept of this album.
Each song is dedicated to the death of one of the sons of Feanor. It is interesting.
The atmosphere of music is epic and gloomy. Very suitable soundtrack for such a story.
I like listening to this album with Summoning, Caladan Brood, Ered Wethrin... Dwarrowdelf is definitely more interesting than the more famous Emyn Muil and Eldamar.
Good luck! And I'm waiting for new Dwarrowdelf songs. Favorite track: Maedhros.

Spear Feels like Caladan Brood and Summoning if they occasionally went fast. Get this. Favorite track: Maedhros.

Amrod 08:16
A fire in the night, An ocean burning bright, A fear raged in Fëanor, As he bathed in the light. The ships were burned in scorn Yet by the break of dawn The Doom of Mandor Already had begun Denied his wife’s request, Left her in the west, To wallow in misery, No sons for her caress. Consumed by furious rage, And lusting for the jewels, Fëanor was guided By forces grim and cruel. Go forth with Fëanor, Lord of all Lest you abandon the oath that we have sworn Go forth and leave me here, whilst ablaze I feel no pain My life is penance for the kin that we have slain Fleeing on the seas, Finarfin left in sorrow, Fingolfin was left ashore Abandoned to the snow As storms raged all around, They lost all sight of land, Darkened voices called on them Your doom is at hand Go forth with Fëanor, Lord of all Lest you abandon the oath that we have sworn Go forth and leave me here, whilst ablaze I feel no pain My life is penance for the kin that we have slain Unnumbered tears shall fall, Valinor will be walled. To evil ends you all will fail All for the kinslaying at Aqualonde

Curufin 08:35
We cannot fight this war, Morgoth is lord of all His darkness conquers all And his blade is sharp and strong We hide underground, Like dwarves eternally bound To delve into the deep No rule without his crown Who is this man? What power does he have? No blood ties to this land Just a ‘gift’ that ensures his end No help from Thingol’s glade The Sindar will bring no aid Just claims that they were betrayed But no kin have been slain Hear now, the words of Fëanor ‘Brood of Morgoth or bright Vala Elda, Maia or Aftercomer Be he fair friend or unclean foe Dread nor danger nor Doom itself Shall save a man or elf Who keepeth a Silmaril Death will deal him a fate most ill’ Do not fear his darkened world The mighty jewels will be ours by the fold Our oath cannot be restrained Morgoth will fall by Noldorin blade

Celegorm 08:16
Fairest glimpse of twilight, You shine through the trees Calling me to your side. Tinúviel immortal, Your songs are winter’s bane Your eyes burn with divine flame Stranger in the shadows, I sense darkness in your mind. The Hunter’s friend no longer, His favour has left you blind You shall not be trapped by a mortal man, Your beauty has no place among the dead. The firstborn blood of Finwë Courses through my veins. Help me avenge those who were slain. As the elf lord Came bearing down On the maiden fair In her anguish and her despair Loyalties swung and her prison was laid bare The elf lord’s gift, From the forests of old Took his flight Away into the night, To find her hero and aid him in his plight

Caranthir 11:12
Deep underground, In the realm that never bowed The sorrows of the oath are truly found Blood fills the pools, From the blade of Caranthir cruel Again kin slay kin, for a jewel War, of elven sons Not for love Darkness prevails Compassion fails Three shall survive Three shall die None shall win The triumph is His Lost in the dark, Adrift in the past, A city once divine left in dust Swords were held high, Bright elven flags did fly And those once immortal were doomed to die The sun has set in Doriath, It will not rise again, The elven tide will falter to the hardiness of men Glorious sons of Fëanor, What have we become? Marching ever forward, we all fall one by one War, of elven sons Not for love Darkness prevails Compassion fails Three shall survive Three shall die None shall win The triumph is His

Amras 08:13
The flags of Fëanor ride once more, The havens shall be plunged into war Unspeakable horror in the night Doriath’s survivors cannot take flight The greatest horror, elf slays elf Illúvatar will weep For the sorrow of a thousand deaths Where once was only peace With memory of Losgar in the flames, Amras let himself be slain Finwë’s line continues to decay Yet untold tragedy still remains The greatest horror, elf slays elf Illúvatar will weep For the sorrow of a thousand deaths Where once was only peace Broken bodies all around, A tragic end to life The bloodstained flag no longer flies Now Thingol’s line has died
6.
Maedhros 06:36
Enchanted by its beauty, Glistening with ancient gleam All my evils are forgotten This jewel is precious to me The world has been freed of its darkness, The evil taken in chains Like dreams that I heard from my father, Our birth right has been claimed Is it the pain of my longing, This searing sensation I feel? Are the torments that I have inflicted, Returning to haunt me? I will not suffer this feeling Fire will be my release Filled with regret at my cruelty I offer myself unto thee
7.
Maglor 09:54
Doomed to bear the burden of immortal life, Forever lost beneath the starlight Time will never wear away the memory, The horrors we committed in our insanity Our brothers burning in the cold, The joy of youth lost to days of old The waves of time now overbear Oh bring back my brothers to me, From senseless tales of tragedy I await them by the shores of life Reflecting for all time on what I have lost, We swore our Father’s oath but did not know the cost Beside the waves I will endure eternally, Yet for our crimes, Elfkind fades from memory Our brothers burning in the cold, The joy of youth lost to days of old The waves of time now overbear Oh bring back my brothers to me, From senseless tales of tragedy I await them by the shores of life

Reviews:
------------
"Grand in scope and executed to near perfection, Dwarrowdelf has added its unique voice to the throng of epic black metal artists and it’s a voice that rings strong and clear, rising above the multitudes. If you’re at all a fan of folky, epic black metal you’d be doing yourself an injury to not pick this up when it releases on digital/CD through Wolfspell Records on 30th April, and at the very least expect to hear much more from this man in future." - blackmetaldaily.wordpress.com

"I’ve already come across a few albums that I’m sure will become my favorites of the entire year, and I’m very confident in saying that “The Sons of Fëanor” is one of those. Dwarrowdelf has created something truly special and unique here. There’s no doubt about it, and this very tiny act cannot get enough attention." - headbangerreviews.wordpress.com

"“The Sons Of Fëanor” has a breathed some new life into this sub-genre with a different approach and one which stand shoulder to should next to “With Doom We Come” as what I would think will be the best epic Tolkien black metal releases of 2018….and again emphasis on the “EPIC”….great album." - www.folk-metal.nl

"DWARROWDELF, the one man project of Tom O’Dell, just released the debut record The Sons of Fëanor, and fans of Tolkien-themed dungeon synth have all the reason to be excited... Fans of bands like Summoning, Caladan Brood, Cân Bardd and Sojourner will surely be pleased." - www.metal-rules.com

"The guitar work is excellent and the clean vocals are solid... The Sons of Fëanor is a no-brainer for anyone into this style of black metal, more than worthy of the “epic” moniker." - www.toiletovhell.com

"With powerfully serene and splendorous melodies... the audience is invited to dive deeply into a fantastic journey of placid prosperity and rapture, and live forever in an empire of unquestioned liberty" - www.merchantsofair.com

"The guitar work is exceptional and this enhances and breathes life into a very saturated genre of metal. And that right there is one of the many reasons why this deserves to be put up high on a pedestal... the Sons of Fëanor is an amazing feat and it has definitely earned a spot on my end of year list." - www.themetalwanderlust.com

"Even when the music is done, it still stays with you, actually more 'inside' of you - a feeling that won't leave you for quite a long while... This is definitely "epic" black metal." - Spider_X, metal-archives.com
